I sort of promised myself that I was not going to blog on lariankardio again until the first pledge came in. And it was worth the wait!
People, we have lift off! RM38,000 of funding to be precise.
Our thanks to the company that pledged the amount for starting the ball rolling.
Only RM462,000 to go to hit our target. Well if we have more generous donors such as this pharmaceutical company, we should be able to help a whole lot of people through the Tabung Larian Kardio PPUM.
A big thank you to the companies who are sponsoring the tees, the registration forms and posters, the race organisation and acting as secretariat.
I'm all pumped up for next week.

Great news!
Just to share a strange but pleasant experience when Dr. Imran & I went to Kuantan yesterday to give a whole day course on Lipids and ECG. At the end, Imran gave a 10 min briefing about our Larian Kardio. Quite honestly, we were just looking out for people to participate in the run and visit our health fair.
And it was to our pleasant surprise when a Myanmar doctor came forward to donate USD500....in cash (RM1700)! Yup...just like that! She was so moved by our sincere efforts to get funds for our needy patients that she went out to the ATM to get the cash.
To this doctor...we say thank you. We hope that more parties and individuals would come up and help us...work with us...to make this project a resounding success!
